The work here centers on women’s interior lives — the quiet negotiations, inherited stories, and moments of becoming that often go unnoticed. These are stories and poems shaped by attention rather than spectacle, interested in what persists rather than what announces itself.
Why I Write
I grew up watching the women around me. Sometimes the silences and the things left unspoken were deafening. Reading became my comfort, and took me to worlds and wonders I hadn't considered before. It was there that I learned to live in and explore that space between the lines.
What I Write
Some compositions are imagined; others draw closely from lived experience. These pieces are meant to highlight the choices we make and how they ripple through time and each other.

S. E. Barry enjoys leading a quiet life. She cares deeply for her family and their animals, finding inspiration and peace at home. While she prefers to lead a private life, her aspirations led her to firmly plant her feet and lean into education, hoping to impact her students love of writing and nurture their creativity.
She is currently crossing her t's and dotting her i's as she prepares to self publish her work.
